René Daudan restores landscapes that have lived, and sometimes suffered, but that remain in the memory and that only country people can feel are rooted in them. Each text is a reminder of our roots and a call to others to find new resources. And then there are the words, as opposed to the nasty fashion of using colloquial and sometimes violent terms. The world transfers its discontents into our vocabulary, which strips itself of all sentiment and gentleness to become nothing more than vindictive, denunciatory and often accusatory.
With him, on the other hand, the soul finds a haven of peace, common sense and humanity. And when he celebrates skills, he reminds me of Vincenot.
