Rendez-vous aux jardins : jardin des Clématites

This charming English-inspired garden is situated at the foot of the pink sandstone ramparts of the medieval town, facing the Armançon river which flows below.
It is a terraced garden which has the charm of an English garden in its design and the care with which it is laid out.
The terraced garden is served by small steps hemmed with flowers and foliage in all seasons.
Clematis and rosebushes adorn the low stone walls, dance in the varied shrubs and, once up the hill, a bench nestled in the hollow of the hillside offers a delightful view of the weathered roofs, other gardens and terraces rising on the other side of the river.

Not recommended for people with reduced mobility (about 50 steps to climb).
